Favorite Mac Lipsticks for the Spring + Lip Swatches

In the beauty community, there seems to be a love/hate relationship with MAC. Personally, I love every single MAC products that I own. By far the product that MAC gets right more often then not is their lipsticks. These retail for $17, but to me they are so worth it. The formula is awesome, although the lasting power depends on the formula. I find I get the most wear time out of the Matte lipsticks.

With Spring approaching or if you are in the deep South already here, I want to showcase some of my favorite Mac Lipsticks and give some lip swatches.
Left to Right: Heroine,Up the Amp, Cyber, Flat out Fabulous

Heroine (Retro Matte):

This color is a beautiful bright purple. This is my go to lip for any minimal makeup look. I love the contrast between the purple and minimal product any wear else. I also love this because you don't have to wear liner with it.

Up the Amp (Amplified):

Up the Amp is a lavender purple. I love this color for when a toned down lip is necessary, but I still want color. The lasting power on this one is not as good as the matte finish, but this is still a option for lavender lips. In the photo below, the color is pulling a light pink, but in real life It's a gorgeous lavender shade and very flattering.

Flat Out Fabulous (Retro Matte)

So this color is the perfect color for Spring. It's bright, but not mid summer bright. It also last like no other lipstick I have. Like Heroine, no liner is needed and this adds the perfect punch of color. Perfect for Festival Season.

Cyber (Satin) :

Although the blackened purple lipstick isn't a traditional Spring color. I still love this for nights out. It's also really comfortable on the lips and an awesome alternative to a matte dark lip. Because it's Satin, it has better staying power than Up the Amp's amplified finish. I usually pair this with a similar colored line and it's my favorite dark lip.

Whirl (Matte):

This color is described as a dirty rose, but pulled totally nude on my NW45 skin tone. I absolutely love this color. OMG, It's gorgeous. It's almost like a my lips but better kind of nude color on me. At the time I was making this post I actually couldn't find it, but it is still a must mention. In the pic below, I paired it with a slightly darker pink toned brown liner.

So those are some of the Mac Lipsticks i plan on rocking this Spring.

Comment below your must have Mac Lipsticks for the Spring or any lipsticks you love.
