Still Shopping: Drug Store Beauty Haul June 2016

By Trecee Hutchinson - 10:56:00 AM

So, I have no explanation for this latest shopping trip. I went in for water and came out with new makeup and once I went to one store I figured I would just keep going because why stop at this point! I'm sure someone knows where I'm coming from....

Anyway, I picked up some drugstore essentials that I have to have on hand at all times and threw in some products I had been eyeing to try. Let's take a look

L'oreal True Match  in C8 Cocoa

This and Revlon Colorstay are my favorite medium coverage foundations. Rite Aid had 40% off last week, so I figured I may as well re up as my bottle is almost empty. I love to wear this with the matching powder for everyday makeup. This foundation lasts all day on me with a primer, the finish is flawless and the color match is on point. This foundation comes in like 33 shades, so it fits a wide range of skintones.

L'oreal Voluminous Butterfly Midnight

The L'oreal Voluminous line of mascara is one of the best hands down. The Butterfly Midnight version is no exception. It's super black and gives amazing volume and lash separation. The brush on this one is also really great for poppin lashes. I don't typically splurge on mascara because the drugstore has some of the best formulas and this is no exception. This was also 40% off so I got a back up to keep in my bag and for travel.

Revlon Photo Ready Eye Art in Peach Prism

I picked this up solely because the color is freaking gorgeous. I've seen a lot of different Youtubers use this, but the reviews on Ulta are mixed so I figured I would try it out for myself. The glitter swatch a little patchy, but looks like it can be layered and I have the feeling it will be gorgeous over another eye shadow. I'm so excited to finally try this, the hand swatch actually lasted all day on my hand, so my hopes are high.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in 360 Cocoa

This was on sale at Ulta (Maybe the shade is being discontinued) so I picked it up to try out. So many good things have been said about the matching concealer so we shall see how this foundation works out. This color seems to suit me so hopefully the formula is good and this turns out to be a hidden gem

Milani Liquid Lipstick in "Sweetheart"

If you have not tried the Milani Liquid Lipstick formula you are truly missing out. Talk about long wearing AND comfortable. This is one of my favorite lipstick formulas hands down. I have a mini review here. I picked up this hot pink shade for the summer. I plan to wear this with a purple lip liner and just simple face makeup, no eyeshadow.

Kiss New York Precision Lash Applicator

As a frequent false lash wearer, my pet peeve is  having my lashes not applied correctly. It's so annoying when my lashes refuse to lay correctly on my eyes. This lash applicator looks like a pair of tweezers with a pointed tip. I actually used these for the first time today and my lash application was so much easier. Before I just used my fingers, but this applicator made it soooo much easier to get my lash on without looking like I had a stroke.

I am really going to try (emphasis on TRY) to slow down on the new makeup purchases going forward, but Comment some of you favorite drugstore essentials so I can check them out when I am on the hunt for new products to try!
