Contrary to popular belief, shopping for beauty products on a budget does not mean that you are giving up quality. Amazing products do not have to drain your bank account.

Fall is finally here y'all! The temperature is definitely dropping here in Baltimore and before we know it the holiday season will be upon us. 

A new season also means new makeup releases at Ulta! I always get so excited for fall and holiday beauty launches. Today, I want to showcase some of the new eye shadow palettes that are on my wishlist and in my cart.

Summer is officially over and although I'm kind of sad that the weather is much cooler, I'm looking forward to breaking out my favorite sweaters and eating comfort food. 

Just because the seasons are changing, doesn't mean you need switch out all of your favorite products just yet. Keep reading, for some of my favorite products that will be transitioning to Fall right along with the weather.

Pur Cosmetics Face Creator Palette | $42

Ya girl was really sleeping on the Pur Cosmetics eye shadow formula! It is really damn near luxurious. The Pur Face Creator palette was inspired makeup artists and features 12 eye shadows and 2 face products, a highlighter and a shimmery bronzer. These shadows are super soft and blend effortlessly. I also love the highlighter in this palette, although its too light for my complexion, the formula is super smooth and reflective. Everything you want in a highlighter. The only product I was not feeling in terms of color was the bronzer. It's like a gray brown and I genuinely can't see how the shade would work on a variety of skin tones. Despite that, this palette is a win and totally worth the price tag. Pick it up at Ulta here.

Sephora #Lipstories | $8

A few months ago, I did a post professing my love for the $8 Sephora Lipstories lipsticks. I particularly fell in love with 2 shades Brunch Date (matte) and Malt Shake (cream) and will be rocking these all Fall and definitely into the Winter. These lipsticks are so comfortable and moisturizing on the lips regardless of the finish. They also don't bleed all of the place, which is a must have for me in a lip formula. Now, the lasting power isn't super long, but personally I prefer comfort over long lasting lipsticks so I'm not really tripping about that. At this price point, you can definitely pick up one or two of these without breaking the bank. You can get them at Sephora here.

Coloured Raine Satin Lipsticks | $18

Do not sleep on Coloured Raine y'all! If you haven't heard of this brand, its a Black owned makeup brand based out of California. They offer quality products and the Satin Lipsticks are no exception. If you are looking for a bold color lipstick that won't dry out your lips, look no further than these. These are easily my favorite formula of cream lipsticks. The opacity on these is unreal, I can truly get full color with one swipe, making these a winner in my book. These are a little bit pricey, but Coloured Raine always has a sale going on and affiliate codes to use when you purchase. You can find these on the Coloured Raine Website here.

Mac Cosmetics Film Noir Blush | $24

This blush is my year round contour shade, but truthfully its the perfect color for fall. It's nice and deep, but can be built up to be even darker. I love a deep contour and this fits the bill. It's also super blendable and smooth. My friend purchased this for me at least three years ago and I wear it all the time and still haven't really hit pan on which makes this an amazing value.

Laura Mercier Translucent Powder Glow in Medium Deep | $38

I actually received this powder randomly from Influenster (sign up here for free beauty products). It's not something I would have naturally gravitated to in the store, but I am so glad I have this powder. This powder is just like the normal Laura Mercier translucent powder, but it has a slight shimmer to it that adds a subtle glow to the skin. You can use it all over as a setting powder or build it up on the high points of your face as a face high light. The price on this is kind of steep, but so worth every penny.

Tarte Lifted Sweatproof Mascara | $23

This mascara is the absolute best for everyday. I had tried it out a while ago through my Ipsy glam bag subscription and loved it. This stuff is good and is perfect if you're like me and always on the go. It definitely stays in place all day and adds the perfect amount of length and volume. Now this mascara is not black, it's more of like a dark brown but I wear this stuff any time I'm not pairing false lashes with my look. These days, that's all the time because I can't be bothered putting on falsies everyday

Nyx Lip Lacquer | $7

Nyx Lip products are by far my go to products from the brand, but I recently fell in love with the Slip Tease Lip Lacquer. These lip colors are an ultra long wearing liquid lipstick that doesn't dry down. I have literally been wearing these almost every day lately because they are so low maintenance and on me usually lasts through my meals when paired with lip liner.

Too Faced Melted Latex | $21

Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer | $10

This concealer found its way into my makeup collection probably soley because of all the hype surrounding this launch and the fact that its similar to my favorite concealer Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. Although, I don't agree that the formula is exactly the same as Shape Tape, this is a really good drug store alternative to the Tarte Concealer. It offers really good coverage and isn't super creasy, although in my opinion, it dries down wayyyy to fast. For $10, with its extensive shade range (24 shades), this has been my new everyday concealer. I use shade C11 as a highlighting concealer and it stays in place through my work day.

Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation | $12

If you love full coverage foundation at a decent price, I think you will love this foundation. I picked this up in the color Mocha in the summer and this is definitely going to be transitioning into fall with me. It's soooo full coverage and long wearing. If you don't like heavy foundation, try going in with a half a pump, that's all I use and it's more than enough foundation for me.

Black Radiance Perfect Tone Matte Lip Cream

I actually received this Cream from Influenster at the beginning of the Summer and literally went through the whole jar in a span of 2 months. This is my second one! Yes, I loved it so much that I had to go snag a second jar. It makes my ultra dry skin feel hydrated and supple. The cream is really thick, but doesn't leave my skin feeling oily at all. This has also helped with the texture issues that I had been having with my skin. It will keep your skin silky smooth without a lot of fuss and is perfect for day and night wear. It's worth the $35 price tag for sure! You can get it at Sephora here.

My love affair with liquid lips may officially be over y'all! Now that summer is here, I had to share the lipstick formula that I have been dying over this season.

Over the past few months, I have been trying out so many new bullet lipstick formulas and have really been enjoying the hydration that bullet lipsticks give over most matte liquid lipsticks. Probably at the beginning of the year, Sephora launched a collection of bullet lipsticks called #Lipstories. These lipsticks are supposed to be highly pigmented, lightweight and full coverage and are a steal at only $8! They are available in a whopping 40 shades and three finishes: matte, cream, and metal. There is truly a shade for everyone in the range.

At the end of my Sephora trip, I ended up picking out 4 of the colors that seemed like I could get some use out of. From the looks of the display, these seem to be pretty popular because a few of the shades I wanted were out of stock. Let's look at some swatches.

Packaging 3

So for me, I have a love hate relationship with the packaging of these lipsticks. On one hand, they all feature different 'stories' about a different destination and are colorful and cool. However, I kind of hate that they are cardboard and not super sturdy. They are also hard to get open. You need two hands and if I'm just touching up on the go or in the car it can get cumbersome and annoying.

Pigmentation 4

The pigmentation on these vary by the finish. The matte shades offer a bit more coverage than the cream finish shades. Both finishes are still very pigmented, but the mattes go on opaque with one swipe, where as the creams needed a little more building up. My favorite shade of this bunch is definitely Brunch Date, which is a warm nude. It is my perfect nude to pair with a chocolate liner and I've literally been rocking it almost every day lately. I also love Malt Shake, a deep brownish red. This color is perfect for a minimal makeup look with a pop of color. The only color I find myself struggling with is Yum Yum, a mid tone chocolate brown nude. It matches my skin a little too much for my liking.

Performance 4

These lipsticks feel so good on the lips! They are creamy, but not too slippery. My favorite thing about these are how moisturizing they are. The cream finish almost feel like a pigmented balm . They also apply smoothly, which is a must for me when it comes to lipstick. The mattes are not drying and also offer opacity with one swipe.

Now as far as longevity, don't expect for these to lasts all day. Like most bullet lipsticks, You will need to reapply these lipsticks after eating and also drinking without a straw. Max these last 4 hours untouched on their own, but a little longer if you pair with a gloss or lip liner. They seemed to work well with the Sephora Collection Rouge Gel Lipliner ($12 here)  I also love that these do not bleed on me. Any lipstick where I don't have to worry about transferring to my chin or cupid's bow is good in my book.

For $8, these are a really good value!
