Another day, another K-Mart run for snacks turned into makeup shopping....
So randomly the other day, while in K-Mart buying snacks I ran across a new display for the Milani Amorematte Metallic Lipsticks and decided to pick up a few, given that metallic Liquid lips are on trend at the moment.
So many brands have come out with Metallic Liquid lipsticks. I wasn't so sure that the trend would work on my dry ass lips so the Milani ones are the best for me at a $7.99 price point.I have been wearing these for a few weeks and I am ready to give my final verdict on these Metallic lippies
First let's look at swatches of the three I picked up:
Chromatic Addict (01): metallic midtone nude with gold sparkle
Cinematic Kiss (04): midtone pink metallic with pink sparkle
Dramatic Diva (05): bright fuschia pink with pink metallic
Review
I am going to rate these 1-5 based on the following criteria: Packaging, Pigmentation and Performance
Packaging: 4
This lipsticks come in standard liquid lipstick packaging. It has a clear bottle with gold accents. There are 5 grams of product in each tube. There is a elongated doe foot applicator with a precision tip, that makes application super easy, as you would be able to line your lips with the applicator an fill in with even application. These also have a frosting smell, that's kind of strong. If you are sensitive to scents that maybe a problem, but it goes away rather quickly. Nothing to special about the packaging, but I love the applicator! It makes it soooo much easier to apply precisely and evenly. These are also available on the Milani website for those that don't have Milani available in their area.Pigmentation 4.5
These liquid lipsticks are so pigmented! They are opaque on one swipe athe metallic effect is gorgeous for all three. This can easily be worn alone or with other liquid lipsticks as a pop of metallic in the center of the lips. As you can see from the lip swatches the pigmentation of each shade is bold and the opacity is unreal. I was pleasantly surprised at these, but I will say that Dramatic Diva is a tad more sheer than the others. The good thing though, is that these actually build up nicely with out being cakey or too thick!
