I think this has been the hottest Christmas here in New Orleans in a while. It was literally a smooth 85 degrees for most of the day. Not complaining, just saying...
Other than the non winter weather, I had an awesome Christmas with my family and since I was feeling festive, I decided to do some colorful makeup using one of my new favorite palettes, the Kat Von D Metal Matte Palette.
I picked this palette up back in October and have totally fallen in love with it. I love both the matte and Metal shadows, they blend well and are offer superb pigmentation. This palette was definitely worth the $60 price tag.
I did a full review on this palette HERE.
On my lips I wanted something that was both bright and subdued. I opted to use " Up the Amp" by Mac Cosmetics. This shade is one of Mac's Amplified finishes so its not super pigmented, but is still beautiful and moisturizing on my lips. I will list the rest of the products I used below.
Did you get everything on your wishlist for Christmas? Drop me a comment below!

I spent this past week in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at a friend's wedding and have missed blogging so much, so I thought I pop in and give a little snippet of my trip since I am about to hop back into the real world.
Puerto Vallarta is gorgeous and my friend's wedding was even more gorgeous.
It took place at sunset at the NOW Amber resort. For my makeup, I opted for a bold turquoise eye and I used the Makeup Forever Artists Shadow Palette 2 that I picked up on Black Friday and "Flower Shop" by Colourpop. I also used "Cheap Thrills" Ultra Satin Lip as a nude pink lip color to complement my eye look.I literally tried on everything I packed in order to get the perfect outfit. In the end, I decided on my favorite green midi skirt from Boohoo and a simple sheer body suit. Something cute and simple. On another note, I definitely need to learn to pack my clothing more efficiently it was a high key nightmare!
Let me know what you think of my look in the Comments!! I can't wait to share more moments from Puerto Vallarta with you guys soon!

Even though Sunday is followed by Monday, it is still one of my favorite days of the week. Typically, I don't leave my bed on Sunday (except for maybe brunch), but this past Sunday was Father's Day and my niece was christened so I took a little time to pull together a makeup of the day to show you all.
For this look, I randomly pulled some items I have been wanting to use more and a real throwback palette that I have always loved. I actually really enjoy the Morphe 35B, the pigmentation is pretty impressive for the price. The Urban Decay Deluxe shadow palette is really nostalgic for me because it was the first palette that made me fall in love with makeup. As you can see it is WELL loved. I was so excited to have it at the time. These days, I still use this palette because of the memories and the colors are actually amazing and have good quality.

This past Friday, I had a rare day off of work. One of my girlfriends actually graduated from the Police Academy and I couldn't miss her big day. So in the process, I decided to bring out some of my Anastasia Beverly Hills products that I don't use as much as I should and go to town. The other day, I also picked up one of the Milani Amorematte Metallic Liquid Lipsticks (Dramatic Diva) so I put it on to start the trial process for my review of the formula.
I will say my first impressions is that it actually dries down to a Matte finish unlike the new Wet n Wild Metallic Liquid Lipsticks, but more to come on both of those.
I pulled out The Lavish Palette from a few years ago and the Self Made palette from the Holiday 2015. I also feel like I hadn't used the Glow kit in a few weeks so I used that in this look too.

I love experimenting with colors when it comes to makeup. A bright eye look can add a little something extra to a plain outfit or even add brightness to the face. One of my makeup resolutions for this year was to experiment even more with color and using the products I already have in my makeup arsenal instead of going out and buying everything new that comes out.
Sunday is by far my favorite day of the week for relaxing. I usually make it a point to not do anything on Sunday except brunch and maybe a little meal prep for the week so I don't have to cook everyday. This past Sunday was no exception; I literally slept in until like 2pm and then decided to get out to do some shopping at the grocery store. A lot of the time, makeup is the last thing on my mind when trying to run errands, but I decided to throw together this look to look semi put together before I left the house.
This past weekend, I decided to try out some of the new products that have just been kind of sitting on my vanity for the past month or so. I placed an order with Colourpop about a month ago and was waiting for a chance to get to use the shade "Too Shy". Words cannot express how beautiful this color is. It's a Glittery true blue shade. The pictures really do it no justice.
Over the past few weeks, I've been real MIA from posting on this blog because work and grown up problems have been taking up so much of my time, but I'm back and I'm so excited to put out more content showing off my recent beauty obsessions.
I love the Spring and one of my favorite things about this time of year is Easter. This year did not disappoint. Because of church, my day started super early so I really had no time to create an elaborate Easter look because I woke up about 45 minutes before I needed to leave out of the door. I also spent the rest of my day between brunch and visiting family and friends outside on a muggy day so less was definitely more.
Foundation is one of my favorite parts of makeup because a good foundation and foundation routine can change your life. It also pulls a look together.
Let's talk products.
So it's a beautiful Sunday here in Nola and as I am sitting by the pool I wanted to share this look I created using the Urban Decay Vice 4 palette. I have had this palette for a minute and like to pull it out everytime I need a little color in my life. I wore this look out shopping with one of my girlfriends.
Makeup Revolution has fast been becoming one of my favorite drugstore brands. The palette that I'm going to show you today was my first purchase from the brand when I found out Ulta was going to be carrying the products, but I have purchased so many items since then.
Sundays are typically a super lazy day for me. If I can avoid it, I literally will not get out of bed. Yesterday, I had a few family events to attend so of course I decided to do my makeup and try out somw new products in the process.
Hi. My name is Trecee and I am an eye shadow hoarder.
Today, I am continuing my Collection Review for Prestige Cosmetics. I am going to be reviewing the
Total Intensity Color Rush shadows.
Prestige describes these as " an advanced formulation that provides a controlled an even pigment release during application. It imparts even application, high pigmentation, and vibrant and lasting color registration."
Today, I want to talk about a brand that doesn't get that much coverage throughout the beauty community. A few months ago, I was doing my usual lunch time browsing at Ulta and ran across the brand Prestige Cosmetics.
I had not really seen anyone talking about these products, but I'm a sucker for clean black and white packaging and the products looked like they would be good, so I decided to grab one eye shadow just to try.
I'm definitely not one to go for a Vampy lip. I typically go with a pink lip or nude brown lip, but today I decided to try something else out.
I also drew some inspiration for my eyes from all of the beautiful cut creases I have been seeing on Tumblr and Instagram. My look is more of a soft cut crease and I finally got to use my Morphe 35T palette that I got from Hautelook before Christmas. I had been debating on this palette for so long,
