Fall Lips: Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color Haute Halloween Collection + Swatches

By Trecee Hutchinson - 7:52:00 PM

So recently, I was scrolling the gram and saw that Jordana Cosmetics released some new colors of their Sweet Cream Matte Lipsticks. When I first started my blog, I did a review of these when they originally launched and didn't necessarily love the light colors that I chose, but I decided to try out some deeper shades this time and I actually really like these.

My Original Post

I ended up picking of 4 of the 8 new shades: Enchanted Goddess, Fantasy Fairy, Zombie Queen, and Bloody Beautiful

Swatches

Jordana Halloween Haute
Gray Liquid Lipstick
Zombie Queen (light gray)

Blue Liquid Lipstick on Dark Skin
Fantasy Fairy (Purple toned Navy)

red Liquid lipstick on dark skim
Bloody Beautiful (bright blue tone red)

As you can see from the Swatches, these look absolutely beautiful on the lips, but how did they perform?

Review

Availability: K-Mart
Price: $4.99

I must say I loved these much better than the initial shades I got back in February.

What I Loved

Pigmented

These are really opaque for the most part. I did have to layer Enchanted Goddess a bit, but it layered surprisingly well. The colors are also true to tube, so what you see is what you get when it comes to pigmentation

Long Lasting

These lasts a long time on me. I wore them all on different days and I found that I got about 4 hours of wear. I will say when I eat, I still feel the need to taken them off and fully reapply. If you eat something oily, they come off, which is to be expected. I also like that these fade well. They do not get patchy as the start to fade. After eating, I still had a good tint to my lips.

Comfortable

I love that these are actually relatively comfortable on my lips! Much more than one would expect for a $4.99 lipstick. It did not flake and crumble on my lips and I have dry lips that I constantly have to moisturize

What I Didn't Love

Slightly Streaky

In my original post, I despised how streaky these were and that still sort of holds true. I found that one of these (Enchanted Goddess) was streaky on the lips. I know that purples are hard to get right, but it wasn't too bad. Like I mentioned above, these were easy to layer on top of when initially applying.

Final Thoughts

So, these are a yes for me. I think for the price, the quality of these is actually really good. I also love the fun color selection. If I didn't have 4000 lipsticks I would pick up the rest of the collection, just to play around with.

  1. I really love this blue shade! I did makeup classes for beginners by Lina Cameron this year, so I need to practice a lot to improve my skills. Hearing about my makeup course, my mother bought many items from U.S.A. She bought all of the shades from this collection. I really love them now. All of this shades are so gorgeous and they are must have. Jordana have very beautiful shades in this range, with great pigmentation. They are not drying at all, which I love most about them and colors pay off 100%. I will recommend them for sure, they are very reasonable as well!
