BH Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick Review + Swatches

By Trecee Hutchinson - 8:15:00 PM

Today, I want to talk about another lip product I have been living for. I also haven't seen many review on this product, so I thought I'd share my thought on it and give a lip swatch or two.

So BH cosmetics is one of those brands that every one has probably seen or tried because of the price point alone. Everything is super afforable and they always have some sort of sale going on so most of the time cheap becomes even cheaper.

So a while ago, they released some Matte Liquid lipsticks and to be honest I didn't jump at the chance to purchase them because I have so many lipsticks and the colors weren't that special, but they also released a foiled eye shadow palette (review coming soon) so I through a liquid lipstick in my cart just because.

So first let's look at what the website says about these lipsticks:

Put more pow in your pout with our BH Liquid Lipstick, a luscious, long-wearing, full-coverage formula that goes on wet and dries to a soft matte finish that won’t smudge, budge, or transfer. Infused with Vitamin E for antioxidant protection, this high-performance, high-fashion lipstick adds effortless glam to any look with just one swipe. It’s available in 10 colors, from baby pink to smoldering red to edgy blackberry, for day-to-night versatility. Talk about a smart mouth!
Price

The original price for these lipsticks are $11, but they are currently on sale for $8.00.
Each lipstick contains 3.4 grams of product and when you order them they do arrive in a box with basic black packaging.

Next let's look at some swatches, I picked up one shade Endora, which is a deep mauve.

Review:

I will be reviewing this product on a scale of 1-5 based on the following criteria:
 Packaging, Pigmentation and Performance
Packaging: 3

The packaging of this product is basic black packaging with a standard doe foot applicator. It also comes in an black box, which is nice because The consistency of the actual product feels slightly oily and it has a standard lipstick smell, well lipstick that doesn't have scent added.  It's actual consistency can best be decribed as a mix between a mousse and an oil. There is nothing terrible special about the packaging, but it woks because it can easily be thrown into your bag and you don't have to worry about product spillage
Pigmentation: 4

The pigmentation of this lippie is so powerful. It builds up to opacity in one swipe. When I applied it, I dipped into the product one time for each lip and let them dry before attempting press my lips together.
Performance: 4
No lie y'all, this is one of my new favorite Liquid Lipstick Formulas. It lasted all day and I didn't need to touch up after eating. Like I've said before, I snack most of the day so that is really saying something. The BH website does suggest that you start with exfoliated lips. I exfoliated my lips first and had balm on the whole time I was doing my makeup before I put on the lipstick. For me personally, these were not drying or at least the most drying product that I have put on my lips. They also didn't have any type of sticky feel. When the product wore off, it did so in an even manner and it does not crumble on your lips, which is always a good thing. No one likes crusty, peely lipstick after all. As you can see from the picture below, you do not really need liner for this lipstick unless you have discoloration around the mouth area. Although I could definitely pair it with a plum lip liner for a gorgeous ombre look.

Final Thoughts:

I was so surprised how much I loved this lipstick formula. The only other Drugstore priced lipstick I like better is the Milani Amore Matte Lip creams. I encourage anyone who wants a matte lipstick that isn't drying and last to give this lipstick a try.

Comment below if you have tried this lipstick and also let me know your favorite colors!!
