Recent Beauty Favorites | Products that Surprised Me

I am so happy to finally be able to blog again! For the past few weeks, I’ve had a huge project at work that kept me traveling almost nonstop, but I am finally back in the city and dying to talk about some beauty bits that have been my go to for the past month or so.

I have literally been working late almost everyday and haven't had as much time as I would like with my makeup. Still, I got to discover a few new favorites and rediscover some gems in my collection..

Here are some of the Beauty Products that have been in heavy rotation for me lately.

Morphe 35os Swatches

Morphe 35OS

This palette has been quite frankly giving me life for my everyday makeup routine. A few months ago, Hautelook featured Morphe and I decided to pick this up and had honestly forgot that I even had it. When I did my declutter at the very beginning of the month, this was one of the items I rediscovered and have made a point to really use this palette on a daily basis for work. The shades in this palette are not only gorgeous, but a lot of them can be worn alone even though they are shimmers. If you’re looking for a pigmented all shimmer palette and love neutrals and bronzes then you will love this palette. I try to tone down my eye looks during the week and this palette allows me to do that without sacrificing the glam.

Becca First Light Priming Filter in Refreshed | Post

I tried this out in collaboration with Influenster and this was definitely my favorite of the bunch. This primer gives the perfect amount of dewiness and moisture without looking greasy. It has tiny light reflecting particles that literally make the skin glow from within. It makes my foundation look better and I have been wearing it everyday.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer

This is one of the best mid-range concealers and one of my OG favorites! This stuff covers well and last all day. Although its in the Naked line, this concealer is definitely full coverage yet weightless. This is also perfectly paired with translucent powder for a perfect matte crease proof under eye.

Nyx Cosmetics Plush Gel Lipstick

A few weeks ago, I saw this in Ulta and decided to try it out and I am soo glad I did! Now these aren’t the longest wearing or pigmented lipsticks, but they are the most comfortable. They offer the lightest wash of color on the lips and the shade Breakup is the perfect my lips but better for me. I have been wearing this shade to work almost every single day! You can find the Plush Gel Lipsticks on the Ulta or Nyx Website.

Coloured Raine Matte Lip Paint in Boss Babe

Dusty Rose has been trend for some time now and although I don’t always follow trends, I am definitely here for this one. This color is gorgeous and I think universally flattering on just about any skin tone. The Coloured Raine Matte Lip Paint Formula is soo good too. It dries to a matte finish, but isn’t overly drying. You can find these on the Coloured Raine website here or Ricky's NYC.

Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit in Goth Topic | Post

In January, I fell in love with the new Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Liquid Lipstick! I raved about this lipstick in my dedicated review for this (HERE), but if you have not tried out this lipstick you need too ASAP! It's a lipstick, under 5 dollars, that is actually comfortable. It also has amazing staying power and the available colors are soo pretty. If you like liquid lipsticks you will not regret this purchase. These can be purchased here on the Wet n Wild website or locally at Walgreens, which is where I got mine.

Dermablend Professional Translucent Powder

While I love my Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, this Dermablend translucent powder is amazing too. Although the powder may appear to be stark white, it does not give any flashback and really mattifies the face. I like to use this to bake the sides of my nose and my smile lines and I love how it looks on my skin!

Nyx Duochromatic Illuminating Powder in Crushed Bloom | Post

This Nyx Illuminator in "Crushed Bloom" has been my go to highlighter. I talked about this powder at the beginning of the month and I just love how this pink translates on to my skin. One of the best things about this powder is that the Duochrome not only translates onto the skin, but also holds it own next to Pink Heart from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Palette. This one surprised me because its so affordable at $6.99, but is so so good. Check out my full review here for all of the details on this.
