Powder Puff Lippie Nyx Cosmetics

So y'all already know if it's new and comes from Nyx Professional Makeup, most likely I'm going to try it and today's product is no exception.

Recently, while visiting my local Ulta helping one of my girlfriends pick out some new makeup, I ran across a display with a bunch of new Nyx Cosmetics products that looked really fun and interesting. I personally love Nyx because this brand allows me to try out the latest beauty trends at prices that won't break the bank.

The Powder Puff Lippie is a mousse like lip cream that literally feels like just what it says, a powder. This range is $8.49 and comes in 8 shades that help you to achieve a "just kissed" look. I ended up picking up 2 of the 8 shades because I love mauve and I'm always on the search for the perfect nude.

Review

will be rating all aspects based on Pigmentation, Packaging, and Performance on a scale from 1 - 5.

Packaging 4

This lipstick has a squeeze tube container with a cushion applicator. The applicator helped me to get the perfect amount of product without over saturating my lip. Although it doesn't bother me personally, the sponge applicator could be unsanitary and annoying for some people so I think it's definitely worth mentioning. Overall, I think that the packaging makes applying the product much easier than using a doe foot applicator.

Pigmentation 4

This lippie had the perfect pigmentation for a work look. it definitely gives off "my lips but better vibes". It's  softly pigmented, but still has enough color for full opaqueness on the lips.

Performance 4

I really like how comfortable these feel on my lips. Although they slide a little on the lips, they are what i would describe as a comfort matte, meaning they are matte without the extra dry feeling. I also like how this formula really doesn't settle into my lip lines and make my lips looks smooth and plump. Listen, this stuff will really have your lips feeling like pillows! It is so comfortable and I have been wearing both of the shades I picked up non stop in rotation.
My only con for this product is the lasting time. I may get like 2 hours tops from this lipstick if I'm not eating anything. Even less if I am eating and drinking.  So if you are looking for something long lasting this is not the product for you. I do however think, that it last longer with a light layer of gloss, but that probably defeats the purpose of a matte lipstick for most people.

Final Verdict:

If you love matte lips, but hate the dryness then this lip cream is for you! I think that this lip cream is solid and I definitely want to get a few more of the colors. This is the perfect work lip for me and I think that you would like it too. You can get it on the NYX Professional website here or at Ulta here.

  2. There are so many make up brands in the market that I feel these reviews are very necessary. I am trying to buy make up but have no idea on which brand to go for.
