Wet N Wild Limited Edition Collection: Review + Swatches

By Trecee Hutchinson - 9:17:00 AM

Wet n Wild recently released a collection for Summer 2016 called Lost in the Wild Flowers. This collection featured some really cool products that are new to the line so of course the hoarder in me had to hunt them down.

For once, I did show restraint and didn't pick up the whole line.

The collection includes 6 Metallic Liquid Lipstick, two highlighters, 3 Multi Sticks and 4 nail polishes.

I ended picking up
- 3 Metallic Liquid Lipsticks
- 1 Highlighter
-1 Multiple Highlighter Stick

Today, I just want to give a quick product swatch and try on as well as my first thoughts about the products.

Metallic Liquid Lipsticks

The Metallic Liquid Lipsticks I picked up were
Peony Express ( Pink base with Silver shimmer)
My Tulips are Sealed ( Coral base with Gold Shimmer)
Indigo Your Own Way (Pink with Blue purple Shimmer)

Lip Swatches

L to R: Peony Express, Indigo Your Own Way, My Tulips are Sealed

I don't know how I feel about these! On me, the two pinks look the same on me. In my opinion, these are not the most flattering. They look okay from far away, but I am not running out to get more colors.
Indigo Your way is another story, I absolutely love this color on my skintone. I will note that these DO NOT dry down matte. These are a pigmented gloss, not a traditional liquid lipstick in that aspect. They are comfortable on the lips however and you cannot feel the glitter or metallicness. I find that they are wearable and the wear time was about 4 hours on me. The only other thing that I did not like was that they show all the texture and lines on your lips so make sure you are exfoliated and scrubbed.

Personally, I can't say that I love these, but they aren't horrible. If you are looking for a nice metallic gloss then these are for you!

Highlighter

I love this highlighter!!! It is so pigmented and the glitter isn't too chunky. This color is a cool toned champagne and its gorgeous. I think that it could suit a lot of different skin tones. If you don't pick up any of the other items up, go ahead and hunt these downs. These are by far the best products in the collection.

This is another product that I am not sure about, but I am definitely going to try it out some more. The color of the highlighter stick is pretty, it's a pink with gold sheen. It actually blends out really well and the consistency isn't to think. I plan to try this mixed with concealer under my eye and as a base for powder highlights. I'm actually getting more excited about this product as I type. More to come on this one...
