The Orange Lip Edit

It's summer and that also means its the perfect time for the a nice bright lip. Today, I want to show off some of my favorite Orange lipsticks and some perfect lip combinations for every occasion.

For me personally, when I wear orange lips I prefer a satin or matte finish, but I have been really feeling the glossy lips lately. Orange lips also look amazing with minimal face makeup or with a warm toned eye like I am wearing in the pictures.

Now, I know that orange lipstick isn't for everyone, but you can always tone down the bright by adding a darker liner or by adding in a nude or coral nude lip color. Some times you have to step out of your comfort zone and have a little fun and a bright  orange lip is the perfect way to do that.

Wet n Wild MegaLast "24 Carrot Gold"

Megalast lipsticks are gems, especially for the price. They are 1.99 and as you can see from the swatch so opaque and pigmented. 24 Carrot Gold is a neon orange and I toned it down by pairing it with a deep brown liner. This lipstick is a matte finish, but goes on smooth and doesn't look dry or flat like a liquid lipstick can.

Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks in "Temper":

I picked up Temper because of the formula, it is so comfortable. Urban Decay markets their matte lipsticks as matte but I find that the formula is creamy and smooth. It goes on full color with one swipe and last really well. Temper is another red orange, which makes it more wearable in my opinion.

Nyx Matte Lipstick in "Indie Flick":

I love the formula of the Nyx Matte lipsticks. They are so buttery and smooth and "Indie Flick" is the perfect red orange. This color is absolutely stunning on warm skin tones, but I think that it would also work for my pale friends too. The lasting power on these is really good for a traditional lipstick. I can get about 4 or 5 hours of wear out of these.

Shea Moisture Lip Gloss in "Jewels":

Bright colored gloss just became a thing for me and I am absolutely in love with this gloss. Jewels is a true orange shade with just a little hint of red. The gloss itself is so pigmented and isn't extra sticky so its comfortable to wear, but still sticks to the lips. I had to be a little more careful with this product as it will transfer, but the finish is just so pretty!

Comment some of your favorite orange or bright lips that you rock in the Summer.
